Oktoberfest Beer Tasting

Join United Way Women United as we visit Montclair Brewery for our annual Oktoberfest beer tasting event!

Our hosts at Montclair Brewery are Leo and Denise Sawadogo, a husband-and-wife team with the motto: “Building a stronger community, one beer at a time." Established in 2018, Montclair Brewery is New Jersey’s first Black-owned brewery. Their drinks are made entirely onsite and reflect their Jamaican and African heritage.

For $85, you will receive:

• A 3-beer flight of curated alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages
• Overview of the beer-making process including the story of our hosts
• Tour of Montclair Brewery
• Oktoberfest food provided by Valley Street Eatery in Maplewood
  

Proceeds support ALICE^® (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) and families in poverty — those struggling to afford the basics. Leo and Denise are donating an additional 10% of all proceeds to ALICE.
